LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Whether you’re an informed connoisseur, an amateur collector, or an art lover, join us for fascinating and informative discussions with the Festival of Arts exhibitors at our “Art Talks: A Lecture Series.” Wednesdays from 12noon – 1pm beginning July 6, Festival Artists talk about their inspiration, history, and careers in art. Listening to the artists present their work is not only interesting and inspiring, but gives attendees a deeper understanding of painting, photography, jewelry, glass and other mediums on the grounds.

July 6: “Partners”
Behind every good artist is a great partner. Artists and their assistants will discuss how their relationship and how working together benefits their art. Featuring Donna and Paul Bond, Rosemary and Tom Swimm, Sherrie and Troels Larsen and David and April Raber.

July 13: “Happy Medium”
Explore a variety of unusual mediums, methods and techniques with Festival mixed media artists, Jordan Dimitrov and Barbara Bond, fiber artist, Marianna Nelson, and woodworker, Larry Marley.

July 20: “Location, Location, Location”
Plein air painters join artist Jeff Horn to discuss painting outdoors on location.

July 27: “Invented Worlds”
Paul Bond and other artists share the stories behind the imagery in their art.

August 3: “Drawing from Experience”
Ray Brown and a panel of artists discuss working in graphite and charcoal.

August 10: “Photographers”
Festival of Arts exhibitor Tom Lamb will lead a discussion focusing on the impact of documentary photography in the world of fine art. Festival artists will join him in sharing insights on the ever-changing aspects of photography.

August 17: “Fashion Show Artists”
The week after the popular Festival Runway Fashion Show, the participating artists will discuss their designs and allow people to get up to close to the Runway looks.

August 24: “Secret Lives of Artists”
Painter Elizabeth McGhee and a group of Festival artists share their “other” talents including music, fashion, etc.
